Drawing 3D Forms
Students are learning how to draw forms with width, height and DEPTH. They are learning how to accurately place VALUES onto their three-dimensional form drawings and how to use CROSS CONTOURS for applying VALUE accurately. We are discussing how to use a light source to determine where the values fall on the three-dimensional forms.

Chain of Forms: Students use the knowledge and skills they learned from drawing 3D Forms to the next level by manipulating forms and connecting them with a tube.
3D Robots
Students apply their well practiced skills of drawing three-dimensional forms with value to design and create their own unique robots. This project involves manipulating and connecting forms in unique ways to achieve a three-dimensional robot design.

Something's Fishy: Students get to use their imaginations to create a fish composition with just a few stipulations (see directions below). This project is to foster creativity while incorporating some basic elements of arts into the design.

Students learn about the art movement known as Cubism. They are also introduced to still life as a subject of art. They create a value study of an actual still life arrangement in the classroom and use this study as a guide to creating a final Cubist style still life artwork.
